DCPSA is honored to sponsor our annual donation drive, "Paws for the Holidays", which benefits Denton County animal shelters. As our campaign was inspired by The Humane Society of the United States’ National Shelter Appreciation Week, we bring our campaign to a close during the holidays at the end of each year. However, our fundraising efforts are maintained throughout the year via our DCPSA booths at different city events as well as other ongoing community activities. (View the 2007 Press Release). 

For an opportunity to make a donation to our “Paws for the Holidays” campaign, you can visit the DCPSA booth to participate in our fun pet-friendly games or to enter to win one of our raffle baskets. We will be at the following 2008 events:

• Hickory Creek Wag-N-Walk on June 21
• Lewisville Western Days on September 27
• Denton's Barktoberfest on October 11
• Hickory Creek Bark in the Park in October
• Lewisville's Holiday at the Hall on December 6

For 2008, DCPSA is pleased to be sponsoring the Little Elm Animal Shelter. The Little Elm Shelter is only recently established by the town so is in great need of basic supplies to help in their day-to-day operations. Please view their Wish List below to see how you can be of assistance to this wonderful shelter. We greatly appreciate the help of all Denton County residents and the participating businesses who are able to assist DCPSA in ensuring that abandoned pets are never forgotten.
